About the Gallery
The Thousand Oaks Community Art Gallery, owned and operated by the City of Thousand Oaks, opened in 1991 and hosts a wide range of visual arts, exhibitions, workshops, artist presentations and special events. It showcases the work of professional and emerging artists who present an array of original imagery, artistic techniques and visual styles. Original art may also be available for purchase. Individual artists and arts organizations may rent the Gallery.
Gallery Hours & Location
Gallery hours vary with each new exhibit. For show information including hours, please contact the art group directly. The Gallery is located south of the Ventura (101) Freeway at the intersection of Borchard Road and Michael Drive, adjacent to the Newbury Park Library. See map on the right sidebar.
Gallery Reservations are accepted quarterly via email, starting at 9:00 a.m. PT on the last Monday of the month, six months before the desired reservation period.
For example, reservations for January–March open on the last Monday in June at 9:00 a.m. PT. After the initial opening, reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. ** Exception: Due to the December holidays, reservations for the July - September period open on the third Monday in December instead of the last Monday of the month.
Upcoming Reservation Date:
Requests for October, November, and December 2025 will be accepted via email on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. PT.
How to Reserve:
- Email CommunityGallery@tolibrary.org with:
- Organization name
- Requested month and date
- Contact information
- Requests are timestamped upon receipt.
- Emails received before 9:00 a.m. PT or sent to any other address will not be considered.
Next Steps:
- Download and complete the reservation forms [PDF].
- The rental fee is $700 per month plus insurance.
- Once your request is confirmed, submit the completed application and payment.
- Proof of insurance must be provided within 30 days.
